Universities in Slovakia

For students applying for Bachelor study
Every applicant who has successfully completed his secondary education abroad is obliged to submit a special confirmation (NOSTRIFICATION) of equivalence of the documents obtained abroad.

  • Nostrification:

This process, also known as recognition of foreign qualifications, is a formal procedure to determine if a foreign secondary school diploma is equivalent to a Slovakian one.

  • Purpose:

It ensures that the educational background of international students meets the required standards for admission to Slovakian universities.

  • Requirement:

Universities in Slovakia will likely require this confirmation as part of the application process for bachelor's degrees, especially for students who have completed their secondary education outside of the Slovakian education system.
